Cappadocia, originating from the early Christian period, is a name that
represents the region of exceptional natural wonders in the middle of Turkey. After the Ottoman Empire, Cappadocia was gradually occupied by human society and technology.
By linking natural materials and human technology, both carving and aggregating
at the existing landscape, this project aims at discovering new aesthetics, as well as understanding the importance of sustainability in architectural design. The ubiquity of the material around this region and the easy operation of the machines give the potential of the project to become prototypes of creating vernacular
architecture and space in Cappadocia.
